laser image, inc. of Sandpoint (and Ponderay), Idaho was growing steadily in 2008 and I sat down with them after they had just moved into their new building to figure out a new image. Their old logo was simply using century gothic font, nothing more. Easy to replicate, but lacks any spark, memorability, nor does it really say anything about what they do: they are not in the laser nor image industry (although technically they do repair printers). It was time for a change.

Listening to their desires, I presented them with a mock sheet of potential logos and we narrowed it down to this logo, which they have been using steadily since. It has appeared on their building as a sign, on stickers, and in ever advertisement they put out. Reactions have been very positive, and most importantly, they are happy.

It should be noted, that this logo is the extended version, but does not include their website url, at their request, as they want people to phone or come into the store rather than browse their website.
